Seamless Pipe
A seamless pipe is a high-performance tubular steel product manufactured from a solid steel billet, with no welded seam or joint along its length. The production process involves heating the solid billet and piercing it to form a hollow shell, which is then elongated, rolled, or drawn to achieve the precise diameter and wall thickness required. Because the pipe is formed from a single, continuous piece of metal, it eliminates the structural weaknesses often associated with weld zones, resulting in superior mechanical strength, uniform wall thickness, and exceptional resistance to high pressure and extreme temperatures. Welded Pipe
Welded steel pipes are manufactured by rolling flat steel plates or strips into a cylindrical shape and welding the seam either longitudinally or spirally. Because they are generally more cost-effective than seamless pipes, they are an ideal choice for non-critical applications and large-scale projects. Their efficient production process enables faster manufacturing and shorter lead times, ensuring greater availability of both standard and custom lengths. Additionally, welded pipes offer a wider size range, making it easier to produce larger diameters (exceeding 100 inches), longer lengths, and various wall thicknesses. These characteristics make them highly suitable for structural uses in construction, water piping, scaffolding, and fencing, where ultra-high pressure is not a concern.
